Yes we do! We have mild and hot chow chow!
YES! The bakery side has ALWAYS had rhubarb every time I've been in.
Yes I think do
According to their webpage they say hours May differ from normal, but it didn't say they were closed. It would be unusual for a tourist business to close on a busy holiday with lakes close by.
Yes we do! We have a cheddar cheese ball rolled in a smoked dried beef and a dessert chocolate chip cheese ball rolled in pecans or chocolate chips. Both are $7.99/#. We have samples of both daily.
It may have a different name, I have heard Colby called that, they definitely have Colby and it's very buttery and great slightly warm with beads of butter coming to the surface. Now I want some too.
I don't know if it's churned, but it is homemade.
Yes, they do
Yes
If you enjoy low-key, homey surroundings, you will love Amish Cheese House. First, outside you are welcomed by the friendly dog. Inside the family-owned cozy restaurant is unique. Food is served family-style and is great, wonderful country cooking. Seconds are "required" since everything is so fresh and tasy. They served our large group and every detail was anticipated. Selections of homemade delicacies and cheese was fabulous.
Great little place with a great and valuable offer. This is definitely a place my wife and I will come back to.
Pumpkin bread ,cinnamon bread soooooo good. Good customer service. I will be back 🤩
Trip down from Chicago to Austin. Nice place to get a quick meal. VERY CLEAN. Interesting grocery items. Will have to make this a place to stop every time we roadtrip on route 69. ...we were so full , didn't get to try their ice cream. Will have to get their ice cream next time! I enjoyed my creamy chicken noodle soup and buffalo chicken wrap.Opt out of eating at McDonald's and eat here! Combo meal + drinks for 2 people is $20
Nice peaceful calm environment beautiful scenery good food good service reasonable priced food
one of the best places where I have breakfast has many varieties of cheese I recommend the place very nice
Great produce, a lot of pickled and jams and it all taste great once we consumed it.Hot tip: try the seasonal ice cream before you go it always taste fresh and homemade.
Great food stop! Sandwiches, soups, breads, canned goods, drinks...you name it! All fresh and served by the friendliest people!!
Really great staff and very filling food!
What a great Shop! I'd like to go back out there to be able to stop here again. This is a real Amish cheese house, not just the English profiting on the Amish culture. Wonderful selection and friendly Amish service
Has amazing foods to heat and eat. Pies, Cookies , and Bread are amazing. Other half has Jams, and other items in jars and also has really good lunch meat and cheeses.
I love this place. The bakery is always stocked with fresh breads, pot pies and goodness.
This restaurant is AMAZING!!!!! You MUST try their potato soup!! And do a bit of shopping for upcoming birthdays and holiday gift giving---Don't forget to stop by their creamery, deli and candy shop!!!!!
This was my first visit to the Amish Cheese House and i was pleased to see many of the items and brands I have come to expect in the Amish country of northeastern Ohio. My wife and I enjoyed custom made sandwiches from a broad selection of meats, cheeses, sauces, breads and condiments. Yum! We will be back for sure!
Wonderful canned goods!! The bakery will overwhelm you with the smells. Too good!!!
The store was very clean, bright, organized, and updated. The staff were helpful but not very social. I'm not sure if I could expect a great social experience there, but it was fine. I had a sandwich with coleslaw and it was delicious but a bit pricey. Overall a very pleasant experience
They have the best chicken noodles soup.
Love this store, especially the cheeses and butter.
Nice place to shop. Fantastic supply of seasoning. And candy. Bakery has great fried pies.
I had no idea what I've been missing!! Great food (get the harvest salad), great atmosphere, and it has something for everyone in the store. Treats, spices, soup, bake ware, and an extensive collection of cookie cutters. A must stop shop for unique birthday and Christmas gifts.
There is alot of different things to get here. Don't forget the bakery!
Lots to look at and sample. Plenty of Amish made goods to choose from.. Clean. The only drawback was the staff. They weren't rude, but they weren't friendly, either. Also, they have a little restaurant inside. The food smelled good, but we didn't have time to eat.
Love this place! Stopped by while traveling through everything we bought is wonderful. Hot sauce. Different cheeses but Muenster is my favorite! Spicy summer sausage and the fudge was yum! Was in a hurry so next time we are through we are checking out the bakery for sure
Samantha was super friendly and ice cream delicious
Oh boy. I can't even describe how awesome this place is. We stopped just to look, and I practically bought one of everything! And the cheese and fudge... They have good deals so I got a bunch! The spices and pie fillings are great. Also got some homemade ice-cream. Top notch. And the people who work there are so helpful, kind and patient. I'd give ten stars if I could!
Excellent service. Attentive to needs of the shopper Variety of tasty products. High on the price side
Fantastic tourist shop and restaurant. Wide selection of jarred foods for sale and some woodcrafts. Restaurant has a deli type menu, but with higher end ingredients, sandwiches and salads. Staff very friendly. Great tasting sandwiches and salads and drinks for family of five $30. Great place to stop, shop and get a bite!
Enjoyed browsing the store, taste testing products. Bought Pickled Aspargus with Jalepenos, Amish PB spread, and Salted Carmel Pretzels. All so good. Employees very friendly and helpful.
If you haven't been, make the time and have some lunch. Save room for ice-cream and maybe some judge. Take home some cream filled oatmeal cookies from Nettie Ann's.
I love Amish Cheese House, we buy the rice and bean mixes, Lebanon sweet bologna, cheese, Lasagna and sweet desserts every time. It is delicious every time as well. Good thing it is so far away or I would be broke every week. Everyone is friendly and helpful and we enjoy the drive.
Good food, but the potato salad was my favorite. Reasonably priced. Super cool old fashion children toys and games.
Food is excellent in inexpensive. Nice people here good ice cream great soup love the broccoli and cheddar
Love this place. Great place to shop for parties and holiday dinners. They have a lot of snacks and dips mixes and stuff you can make for the holidays. Great bakery as well.
Lots of products out to sample. Lots of mixes, spices, jellies, etc. Ice cream is good but not like the ice cream made with the hit & miss motors that many Amish use. Sandwich at the deli was a sandwich. The loaded potato soup was good. Nettie Ann's bakery is connected. A variety of breads, cookies, some cakes, and frozen pizzas/meals.
We ate lunch here. Best sandwich I've ever had. The homemade bread makes all the difference. The shake was mind blowing 🤯. We were able to sample a few meats and cheeses both delicious. Their bakery area smells like heaven. 😍
The food is good, I had the soup and sandwich. The chicken noodle soup was very tasty, and the sandwich was petty good. The atmosphere was quiet and to be expected, not really my cup of tea coming form the fourth largest city in the US. I hear the ice-cream is great. Its Blue Bell!
Stopped by to check it out, friendly folks, delicious lunch, and easy to spend some money! Will go back again.
Delicious home made bread and other goodies. Try the lemon bars! Deli has home made soups and sandwiches, made fresh, fresh, fresh! Helpful and courteous Store clerks. Very quaint and soothing ambience. Big rig parking next to highway. You can even practice your Dutch here!
This Store and restaurant, is always the best place to visit. It is well worth taking the highway 69 exit and to Chouteau.
So many different items I had never seen before! And they are so nice.
I haven't eaten there. They had quite a lot of cheese, spice blends, herbs, hams, dips and pastas. I don't know if they make the cheese. They have a deli there, a bakery, a gift area and a restaurant. My honey got a little fudge.
Alot of neat and unusual items. Great bakery, fudge, soup and sandwiches. Rada knives! Yay!
The best place to eat sandwiches and soup.
Nice atmosphere good food and great homemade ice cream!!!!
This place was awesome! Food items and non-food items were all great. They sell much more than cheese and all their prices are good. They are attached to the bakery next door which is a bonus.
Had my baby shower in the second floor balcony part of the cheese house. The view was great! There was a storm Rolling in as we were getting ready to leave and it was cool to be up so high with those big windows to look out of. The little store was neat to look around. I didnt have any, but the food smelled good.
Got some Habanero/Jalapeno cheese. It was fantastic. Melts easy too. Will definitely get more when I can.
This is such a great place to eat, take guests, and shop for homemade goodies, gifts, and souvenirs! Its quaint, friendly and DELICIOUS!!! Its a must go location. You won't be disappointed!
Friendly help with a lot of local goods for sale. I had a Lebanon bologna with garlic bologna sandwich with smoked cheddar and provolone cheese on Sourdough bread. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I would stop again and I would recommend.
We went expecting a Cheese Store, maybe like Osceola Cheese Factory... There is some cheese at this place, but it come from Ohio and other places. There was a small selection of local cheese. We got the Farmer and Buffalo Cheese curds and what was supposed to be Sharp Cheddar. The Cheddar was not sharp or remotely Chedda flavored. The other was fine.
